Founded in 1978, we have amassed a wealth of experience and our commitment to providing excellent service delivery has been recognised with a number of awards over the years. Our Systems and Processes underpin our operational effectiveness and we have developed a robust Local Management System (LMS) that we use to both run our business and execute projects on behalf of our clients. As well as being at the heart of our ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 accreditations, our LMS has been audited by a number of our blue-chip clients and has always been highly commended.
The health and safety of our employees, customers and suppliers and surrounding communities is our highest priority. All the excellent work we do to deliver projects on time, to budget and to the right quality counts for nothing if our safety performance is not of the highest standards.
We are very proud of our safety record and in 2017 we were recognised with a Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Order of Distinction for the second time in recognition of our sixteenth consecutive Gold Award.
Our expertise and innovative approach in the Bioenergy sector was recognised by the IChemE in 2013 when we were awarded their prestigious Bio-processing award.
The award was in recognition of PROjEN’s novel Anaerobic Digester that utilises some innovative ideas to produce a highly efficient digester, capable of coping with the ammonia rich pig slurry. This digester provides sufficient biogas to provide electricity and hot water for the farm, while produced enough surplus energy to power another 700 homes.
Our culture is based upon the European Construction Institute’s (ECI) ACTIVE Principles. ECI have recognised our achievements with a series of ACTIVE awards: ‘Contractor of the Year’ in 2003 and ‘Project of the Year’ in 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2013.
Capita PROjEN were announced the winners of the 2016 Chemicals Northwest Health & Safety award, in recognition of our outstanding work in the field of Process Safety, (DSEAR/ATEX, Functional Safety, HAZOP & HAZID).
Capita PROjEN’s Business Development Director, Shane Pugh said, “We are both surprised and delighted to win this award, it is great to receive recognition for our skills and application of Process Safety across all of the market sectors we operate in. It is also a tangible recognition of the expertise and efforts of our highly skilled engineers.”
In 2015, Capita PROjEN were awarded the Chemicals Northwest Engineering Business of the Year Award, in recognition of the design and implementation of our class leading Information Management System which harnesses our systems and processes and underpins our operational effectiveness.
Much of our success relies on our ability to bring new ideas and cost effective solutions to our clients. An example of our innovative approach is the way we have used 3D digital photogrammetry for which we were awarded the 2005 BE Excellence Award for the ‘Adoption of New Technology’.
In 2006 we were very proud to be presented with the Vale Royal Business of the Year Award. Capita PROjEN were selected from over 1000 eligible companies. In winning the award we were able to demonstrate significant growth, increased market penetration, innovative products and services, strong communications and quality throughout the organisational structure.
In 2013 we were extremely proud to win both the Business of the Year and Positive Environmental Impact Awards at the Halton Business Awards 2013. The Halton Business Awards are highly respected amongst the local business community and beyond for their recognition and reward of excellence in business practise.
Because of the diverse nature of the industries and markets we serve, the size and complexity of our assignments vary enormously. Our processes, procedures and systems therefore are both scalable and flexible so that they are appropriate to the needs of each client. We have combined our Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures into a single Integrated Management System which is accredited to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007.
