GSK produce medicines that treat six major disease areas - asthma, virus control, infections, mental health, diabetes and digestive conditions. They are also a leader in the area of vaccines and are devloping new treatments for cancer, in addition to working on drugs to tackle HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria.
In addition to the development of prescription only medicine (POM), GSK also produce over the counter medicine (OTC), dental products, smoking control and nutricional healthcare drinks.
The GSK key account has developed from strength to strength with PROjEN acting as the principal and managing contractor delivering projects on behalf of GSK at Tonbridge, Stevenage,Harlow, Ware and Beckenham. Notable successes have included the R22 and Condenser Projects which were delivered safely, ahead of schedule, below budget and resulted in achieving several awards.
