DEMAND SIDE MANAGEMENT

Demand Side Management refers to the timing and impact of energy use and its relationship to the charging mechanism. Many of the current energy supply contracts have a peak demand charging structure to account for the additional energy infrastructure required to supply abnormal or high demand services.

Many organisations may be able to take advantage of the ‘spot’ price of fuels through adjusting their operation cycles, or may even be able to reduce their demand at short notice in order to mitigate high winter charges.

"PROjEN will review your requirements, determine the costs - both installation and operation..."

PROjEN’s Energy Engineers can investigate and advise on the best courses of action in order to minimise such charges. We can offer a number of services that assist your organisation to realise the benefits of reviewing Demand Side Management:

Energy Education – Educate employees on the impact of energy costs, time of use, and demand charges.

Energy Accountability – Determine the impact of each process or building,

Energy Efficient Installations – Occupancy controls, Daylight linking and BMS can be adapted to reduce site demand in addition to overall consumption.

Energy Load Management – Can be evaluated to look at TRIAD Aversion, Peak Lopping, and the sequencing of plant.
