PROjEN is pleased to announce that Dave Auty joined our ranks at the beginning of November. Dave has a long history of working with anaerobic digestion across many sectors, but particularly the water industry and the waste industry. He has particularly in depth knowledge in the design and operation of AD plants and augments the well-established class leading skills already in-house at PROjEN.
PROjEN and Biogen are joining forces to design and deliver AD projects in the UK and will be appearing together at the UK AD and Biogas show being held from 1st – 2nd July 2015 at the NEC, Birmingham.
Engineering and Project Management specialists PROjEN and Biogen, the UK’s leading anaerobic digestion experts, are working together to deliver proven, world class AD projects. Both companies have enviable reputations and a combined total of over 30 years’ experience in the AD industry.

PROjEN have sponsored Barnton youth football since 2008/9 season when the
team were starting out and 7 years on and PROjEN renewed the sponsorship last
year by way of a contribution to the home and away kit for the then

they work in and have sponsored Barnton Wanderers under 15s, a local football
team, based near Northwich in Cheshire. PROjEN’S Head of Procurement Mark

This year has been another great year for the boys and with a lot of hard work
and dedication in all weathers we have come out on top as Division 2 champions
and will move on to under16’s in the First division next season. The Facts: 18
wins from 24, 56 points, a goals plus difference of over 50 and only 1 loss
and 1 draw against our top 5 rivals, so 20 points from 24 against the better
teams, and 1 defeat in the last 8 games.
With the heightened public awareness about the dangers of childhood obesity;
in combination with the social benefit of playing a team sport, it has become
increasingly important to engage children in sport at a young age. Barnton
Football Club provides opportunities for children and adults in the
surrounding area to participate in a football team and to enjoy their
involvement regardless of ability. Barnton FC view themselves as a family,
winning and losing as a Club, not just a team, however they rely on volunteers
to coach and manage the team as well as participate in fund raising efforts.
Barnton Football Club place a high value of fair play and respect and a few
years ago, were awarded the FA Charter Standard ‘Community Club’ Award, the
highest status that they could achieve under the FA Charter Standard Scheme.
PROjEN has been shortlisted for the Chemical Industry Association (CIA) Engineering Excellence Award in a very highly contested category. The Annual CIA Awards Dinner will take place on the 18th June at the Newcastle Hilton.
The purpose of this Award is to recognise the contribution of engineering excellence in the chemical industry towards improved business performance. This Award also recognises engineering excellence that produces tangible business benefits such as contribution to improving safety and environmental performance, reducing engineering costs and improving plant output and operating efficiency. Our Information Management System (IMS) formed the basis of our entry and was also primarily responsible for us winning the Chemicals Northwest Engineering Business of the Year Award 2015. Fingers crossed we can go one step further at this prestigious Industry event.

The winners will be revealed on the 14th May at a ceremony at the London Hilton, Park Lane. The event will be attended by over 600 senior representatives of the gas industry and the keynote speech will be given by Ofgem Chief Executive, Dermot Nolan.

This year’s Chemical Northwest Awards took place on Thursday 19th March at the Hilton Hotel in Manchester. The glamorous event was hosted by Lucy Meacock one of Britain’s longest serving news and current affairs presenters.
PROjEN were very pleased to have been shortlisted for more awards than any other business and were delighted to be presented with the most prestigious award of the night, the Engineering Business of the Year 2015.
PROjEN’s Business Development director, Shane Pugh said “We are delighted to win this award, it is always thrilling when someone else recognises the qualities of your business. Whilst we operate across the entire UK, it is great to be recognised as a significant business within our own region”.
Shane was accompanied on to the stage to receive the award by PROjEN’s Business Development Team Leader, Rebecca Shillito and Business Support Officer Kimberley Hough. As part of receiving the award, the PROjEN team were asked a series of probing questions by Lucy Meacock which focussed on how PROjEN’s internal Q.A. and I.T. teams had developed and implemented our class leading Information Management System. Lucy’s interview gave the PROjEN team a real insight on how it feels to be interviewed by a leading current affairs professional and were grateful that the questions were all focussed on a topic that the team are passionate about…..our business.
