AkzoNobel’s state of the art paint manufacturing facility in Ashington has now officially opened. PROjEN were involved with several aspects of the design, build and commissioning of the plant over a 6 year period and are now delighted to see it in operation.
PROjEN are pleased to announce their second award in the RoSPA category ‘Order of Distinction’, following 16 consecutive gold awards for Health and Safety excellence.
Through the RoSPA Awards scheme, which is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas, judges consider entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement. The awards are now in its 61st year.
The majority of awards are non-competitive and mark achievement at merit, bronze, silver and gold levels. Gold medals, president’s awards and orders of distinction are presented to organisations sustaining the high standards of the gold level over consecutive years.
Lyndon Workman, PROjEN Health, Safety and Environmental Manager, said: “We are delighted that we have been awarded our second Order of Distinction by RoSPA for 16 consecutive gold awards. We are very proud of the hard work and diligent approach of everyone at PROjEN that helped us to win this award for the 16th year running. This award and our safety performance highlights our responsible approach to doing business and shows that health and safety forms a fundamental part of our operational excellence.”
