Excellent Energy Advice from PROjENs Energy Environment Team

Building Research Establishment (BRE), an external auditor on behalf of Carbon Trust have recently reviewed and graded PROjEN’s work as “excellent”.

PROjEN who were awarded Carbon Trust Accreditation in December 2007 carried out two opportunity assessments on behalf of a Medical Insurance Company based in Exeter and a Ventilation and Heat Recovery Manufacturer in Caerphilly, South Wales. The reports focused on how both organisations could reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption via suitable, cost effective means.

PROjEN are accredited to undertake Carbon Management Energy Efficiency (CMEE) for organisations with annual energy spends of over £1million looking to implement carbon reduction programmes. The Carbon Trust can provide, through PROjEN’s energy services and solutions, financial support to suitable projects for companies embarking on a carbon reduction programme. PROjEN can also offer, through the Carbon Trust, Opportunity Assessments and Solution Development activities to smaller companies.

Tony Baldwin, one of PROjEN’s accredited Energy Engineers states, “Having this work externally reviewed by an independent centre of excellence gives PROjEN credibility. It also strengthens our relationship with the Carbon Trust, providing confidence that PROjEN are giving excellent support to its clients.” He later went on to say “whilst you never know what to expect when attending a site to review carbon reduction opportunities, there is always scope to identify suitable and cost effective measures to reduce both energy, carbon emissions and operating costs for an organisation.”
