What is Digital Photogrammetry and 3D Modelling?
Digital Photogrammetry is a technique where 3D space can be mapped accurately by the use of digital photography. Put more simply, Digital Photogrammetry is the process of gaining accurate dimensions of an area by measuring digital photographs.
3D Modelling uses the data captured via the Digital Photogrammetry process to create a photographic database of a plant. Displayed on Windows based software, it allows for all areas and angles of the plant to be viewed digitally.
3D modelling provides the facility to conduct feasibility studies, training and ergonomic observation, all without entering the plant. In addition it provides a versatile communication tool between owner, engineer and contractor throughout the life of a Project.
