Matthew Cowell Achieves Chartered Status

PROjEN are pleased to announce that Matthew Cowell has recently been awarded Chartered status by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).

Matthew who joined PROjEN in 2006 as a Project Engineer, had previously been working as a Mechanical Engineer for 16 years and successfully demonstrated his experience and competence to satisfy the awarding body.

Martin Seabrook, PROjEN’s newly appointed Managing Director commented “My congratulations go to Matthew on achieving Chartered status; given all the stages that the IMechE require this is no mean feat. Being recognised by an official body such as the IMechE puts PROjEN in good stead, confirming the skills and expertise of its employees. One of the IMechE’s goals is to promote engineering especially within the areas of energy, environment, transport and education so this accreditation ties in neatly with the areas that PROjEN are currently involved with.”

Matthew is in the process of studying for an MBA at Liverpool John Moores University. He reports that he has passed sufficient modules already to achieve a Post Graduate Diploma and only has a 20,000 word dissertation to produce to complete the MBA! Matthew is currently looking for a suitable topic for his dissertation and believes that a very topical subject would be; “The credit crunch and how organisations behave when operating in such challenging times”. Once completed Matthew hopes to bring the skills he has learned in obtaining his MBA into practical day to day use at PROjEN.
