Problems delivering your AD project? – PROjEN can help
PROjEN Bioenergy is one of the UK’s leading providers of bioenergy solutions. PROjEN has been in business for over 35 years and recently joined the Design and Management Division of Capita Plc. Capita is a UK FTSE 100 listed Company which offers us an unrivalled degree of financial stability in this market place.
Over the last 5 years the company has been associated with the successful delivery of over 25MW of Anaerobic Digestion (AD) capacity in the UK.
In 2013, the IChemE recognised our AD biological process and engineering capabilities by awarding PROjEN with their prestigious ‘Bioprocessing Award’. This award recognises our achievement in developing a highly optimised AD process which is being used on the AD plants that have been successfully designed and delivered by our biological process team, led by Dr Les Gornall, a recognised AD pioneer.
Our unique blend of AD experience is based on the design and delivery of AD plants with a capacity of between 500kW and 8MW. Every project has its own unique process design challenges to be overcome meaning that there is no one solution for all applications.
PROjEN is technology agnostic and has no technical alliances with suppliers. We do not provide an off the shelf ‘Black Box’ solution; instead we provide UK designed and warranted solutions for our clients.
Our capability offering to the AD market typically includes the following range of professional services:
- Concept development and feasibility studies
- Technical due diligence (on behalf of major investment banks and project developers)
- Process design and consultancy
- Planning and permitting
- Architectural, civil and structural
- Detailed design, mechanical, control and electrical
- Project management
- Construction management/SHE/CDM support
- Project controls/QS/planning
- Procurement/expediting/subcontract management
- Operative training
- Plant optimisation and biological health checks
In short, we can develop projects from a blank sheet of paper through to a fully working and optimised plant.
Our bioprocessing capability has included the delivery of biodiesel, biomass and EfW (Energy from Waste) projects throughout the UK. As a result of our capabilities, we are currently retained by a number of major infrastructure providers who draw down on our consultancy services and digester delivery capability in co-operative contracts.
