PROjEN awarded RoSPA President’s Award
At PROjEN, we set our Health, Safety and Environmental responsibilities to our employees, customers, suppliers and our surrounding community as our highest priority. All of the excellent work we do to deliver projects on time, to budget and to the highest quality standards counts for nothing if our safety performance is not exemplary. For these reasons, we are proud to announce that PROjEN has just been recommended by RoSPA’s Awards Adjudication Panel for our 4th RoSPA President’s Award and our 13th Consecutive Gold Award. The RoSPA Safety Awards are internationally recognised and have become the most sought after safety accolade by organisations from every sector.
The majority of RoSPA’s awards are non-competitive, graded achievements at merit, bronze, silver and gold levels. Organisations that maintain high standards in consecutive years can win gold medals, president’s awards and orders of distinction.
“This key fixture in the health and safety calendar offers organisations a prime opportunity to prove their ongoing commitment to raising health and safety standards and to be a part of the longest running and most highly respected occupational safety awards programme.”
RoSPA is the UK’s family safety charity and aims to save lives and reduce injuries for people of all ages and stages of their life. In support of this mission, the RoSPA Awards, which date back 58 years, recognise commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention at work. Through the scheme, which is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas, judges consider entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, said: “The RoSPA Awards encourage the raising of occupational health and safety standards across the board. Organisations that gain recognition for their health and safety management systems such as PROjEN, contribute to a collective ‘raising of the bar’ for other organisations to aspire to, and we offer them our congratulations.”
Dave Elliott, PROjEN’s Business Support Services Director said: “We are delighted to be recognised by RoSPA once again. This 4th President’s award is testimony to our excellent Health and Safety record and all of the hard work and commitment shown by everyone across the business.”
The awards will be presented by RoSPA at a dinner gala hosted at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel on the 14th of May 2014, which will be attended by PROjEN’s SHE Manager, Lyndon Workman who will collect this prestigious award.
