PROjEN Ladies Race for Life | PM PROjEN News

PROjEN employees Zoe & Emily Birch and Katie Abrahams took part in the 5km “Race for Life” event organised by Cancer Research UK raising £840 in the process.

Zoe and Emily took part at the beautiful gardens of Arley Hall in Warrington on Sunday 29th July 2007, along with 2000 participants which included their mum and Zoe’s son Dylan.

Katie also took part completing the race a week earlier at Regent Park, London, along with 5000 participants all doing their bit for charity.

Both races were organised by Cancer Research UK and aimed at raising money for research into cancer. The events hosted annually involve a run, walk or jog around a 5km course.

This year, there were 280 “Race for Life” events run up and down the country.

The women only events aim to raise £60 million for CRUK’s life-saving work by bringing an amazing 800,000 women together in the joint goal of raising funds.

John Taylor, PROjEN’s MD, commented, “It is great to see PROjEN staff getting involved in such a worthwhile cause. The PROjEN team managed to smash their target of £150 & raise a superb £840 between them for cancer research. I think based on the success of this year, the PROjEN team will be recruiting more participants next year and I believe Katie is already in training to complete the course in under 25 minutes!”
