PROjEN raises over £100 for Charity

PROjEN, the award winning Project Management Company based at Northwich, Cheshire, has raised over £110 for charity following two recent fundraising events. £44 was raised for “wear it pink day” and £68 for “Jeans for Genes Day”.

‘Wear it pink’ with Breast Cancer Campaign has been a national event in Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October) since 2003. More than 800,000 people took part last year. Since it started, the event has raised a staggering £3.6 million to help Breast Cancer Campaign continue researching the cure for breast cancer.

‘Wear it pink’ also won the UK Fundraising Campaign of the Year award in 2004, which is one of the most prestigious fundraising awards of its kind in the UK.

Jeans for Genes is organised by four national charities that raise funds for research into serious and often life threatening genetic disorders affecting children. Funds also provide laboratory equipment and facilities, as well as valuable advice and support for families.

Funds are raised by participating companies and schools inviting staff and students to throw out the usual dress code for the day, jump into their jeans and donate one or two ponds for the charities. Jeans for Genes day was held on Friday 5th October.

John Taylor, Managing Director at PROjEN said,

“We are always looking at ways to help raise funds for worthwhile causes and its great when all the company gets involved. We have raised a substantial amount of money over the last year and look forward to supporting whatever charities and good causes we can next year.”
