PROjEN’s Red Hot Support for the British Heart Foundation!

PROjEN employees, always keen to do their bit, went all out on Friday 13th February and embraced the British Heart Foundation’s “Wear Red to Work Day”.

February is National Heart Month and the British Heart Foundation hope that this event along with others taking place through out the month will raise awareness and vital funds to help fight the UK’s biggest killer – heart and circulatory disease.

PROjEN employees managed to raise a total of £100, through wearing red ties, red lipstick, red tops and even red trousers! They took part in a “Red Sweep Stake” whereby Pauline Yeomans won £10 for correctly selecting UB40’s “Red Red Wine” song.

David Elliott, PROjEN’s recently appointed Business Support Services Director commented “PROjEN are committed to supporting worthwhile causes and charities such as the British Heart Foundation. It was great to see so many employees getting involved and wearing red. Not only has the day raised money for the British Heart Foundation, but also created a buzz in the office. It is reported that every 6 minutes someone dies from a heart attack in the UK. This is an alarming statistic and I am pleased that we have done our bit to help in the fight against heart disease”.
