The majority of projects carried out by PM PROjEN involve en element of Commissioning, ranging from the supervision of others to commission their own systems, (process package providers) through to full Process Commissioning by our own personnel. Given that we have been involved with Commissioning activities since we were founded (in 1978), we have a long established Commissioning and Handover process that has been utilised on a large number of projects over the years.
The protocols for creating the appropriate commissioning documentation and driving the commissioning process going forwards are outlined in our systems and processes and includes the following activities:-
- Pre-Commissioning Preparation
- Commissioning System Definition
- Commissioning Programme
- Production of Test Schedules
- Pre-Installation Tests including:-
- Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
- Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
- Equipment Calibration
- Post Installation inspection and testing including:-
- ATEX Inspections
- Functional Safety Testing
- Electrical Safety Tests
- Dry Commissioning
- Wet Commissioning
- Integration Tests
- Take-over Tests
- Performance Tests
- Hazardous Area Inspections
- Construction Completion, Handover and Close Out.
On our own projects, our core philosophy is to start the planning of the Commissioning right at the start of the project rather than leave it until the Construction elements have been completed. By considering the Commissioning requirements early, any Commissioning related requirements can be integrated into the core design and fully considered as part of Designer Risk Assessments, Hazard Studies and Access / Maintainability Reviews.
Where a project has been designed by a client (or appointed third party), we can provide Engineers with Commissioning experience across a wide range of Industry sectors to support the client to quickly and efficiently commission their own facility.
